Default How I did so far?

We\'ve just completed 4 rounds of our inaugural draft (9 teams). Here\'s my team so far:

Spezza, Lundqvist, Ryan Whitney and Gaborik

Here\'s the draft details so far:

1st round: Crosby, Luongo, Heatley, Brodeur, Thornton, Ovechkin, Malkin, Kiprusoff, Spezza
2nd round: Lundqvist, Lecavalier, Fleury, Iginla, Kovalchuk, St-Louis, Hossa, Zetterberg, Jagr
3rd round: Nabokov, Brière, Giguère, Cheechoo, Datszuk, Gagné, Pronger, Alfredsson, Ryan. Whitney
4th round: Gaborik, Phaneuf, Savard, Gonchar, Ryan Miller, B. Richards, O. Jokinen, D. Sedin, Lidstrom

I\'m not sure if I\'m happy or not with Gaborik as I\'ll have two certified band aid, but he was still available and was in the top 3 BPA at this time.

Where do I go from now? We\'re at pick 37 and I have next picks are 45, 46, 63 and 64.

Probably due to his off year, Eric Stall is still available. I really hope he\'ll still be free when it comes to me. That could be a such a steal!

Should I go with another dmen while I think there will still be good ones available?

Do you think I can wait until pick 63 to grab my 2nd goalie?

I have so many questions in mind would like to have your insight on this.

Thanks!

Couple of teams have done nothing in getting a D guy so I think you need to watch them this round to see what they do. You are entering the critical part of the draft now - no question for me that you wait on your second goaltender until 6th or 7th round - there will be something solid there for you.

I like who you have so far - great high end and pretty young. You will make or break on the bandaid boys and that risk is taken so move on. I think you need 1 more forward for sure in this next two picks - to pick another D guy would really depend on who was available - I could go either way but lean to waiting on a D guy

The following guys tickle my fancy and are available (in no particular order):
-Michael Cammalleri
-Thomas Vanek
-Alexander Semin
-Anze Kopitar
-Eric Staal
-Erik/Jack Johnson
-Alexander Frolov
-Patrice Bergeron
-Scott Gomez

Just to name a few! I\'d go with Vanek, Semin, Staal, or Cammalleri. I think you can hold off a bit on the dmen, especially the Johnsons. After those 4 I\'d be tempted to go with Kopitar/Bergeron...

Thanks for the comments! You\'re confirming me that it worth delaying my 2nd goalie to my 63-64 picks.

Staal, Marleau and Sedin are actually the next guys on my center list.

I wouldn\'t count on Vanek being free though but I have Tanguay and Semin next in line.

I already thought about Radulov, but I think it\'s too early now.

Lots of decisions...

I faced the same issue with Radulov. You know he\'s a great sleeper pick, but at the same time you don\'t want to take him TOO early.

I took him with the 50th (early 5th round) overall pick, and at first thought it was too early. It was a tossup between Radulov and Jack Johnson though, and I found out that both would\'ve been taken shortly after I took them.

This is where you draw the line between bright GM\'s and decent GM\'s. Anyone can see that Radulov has talent, but very few who don\'t frequent this site realize his ridiculous upside. As a result, I\'d expect Radulov to go 6th-8th round in most pools. That\'s what makes him a sleeper pick -- being able to get him in round 5 or 6 and not being burned because he\'s a bum. Someone\'s going to take him early, it\'s just a matter of if you want to be that guy. By passing up on him, you\'re basically acting like one of the GM\'s who\'s ignorant to his talent and potential.
