I see the thumb\'s up/down and Karma under everyone\'s avitar. What is this?

A pat on the back/thumbs up for good advice.

Yeah just a little way of keeping track of guys who are free with their advice and such. Don\'t put too much stock into it really, but it can at times be a bit of a guide as to how active someone is here at the boards and whether they post much substance or not.

yes, it pertains to how helpful you are or the value of your advice/posts.

The more people that like what you post, the more people that give you positive feedback.

Basically if someone has a very negative kharma, you know that other users have had a bad experience with them and they might not be the best person to listen to.
