I am curious to know what people think about the kind of season Stempniak is going to have? As well as long term potential. In the Dobber\'s guide, his ceiling is put to 68 and Angus predicted 40 goals this year which makes me think he might have 40-40-80 possible potential?

What do you guys think?

Considering what this kid did last season playing minimal minutes, usually OFF a scoring line, 40-40 is attainable this season. However, 35-35 is a safer bet, with steady improvement from there. His play at the worlds last year pretty much showed that last season was no fluke.

I put him in the high 50 for this year with an upside at 65pts. Forty goals for this year seems kind of high to me. High touted scorers like D.Sedin and Jokinen didn\'t reach that mark yet. A 30 goals season seems very likely though...

I already said it, but I didn\'t Stempniak as a 80 pts player yet and maybe never. He should be somewhere between 60-70.

I think 25 goals and 30 assists is a more resonable expectation. St. Louis is going to play a defensive style this year so scoring will be down.

scoring will be lower with murray. still he can reach 60 pts easily unless he gets bitten by the sophmore jinx.

I personally think Stempniak will be around 35-35 this season if all things go well. He is that good.
