Default Dumont for kunitz

Hey guys, im in a keeper league entering the 2nd season of 4. Just traded C. Kunitz for JP DUmont... DO you guys think i made the right move? My rational is that the league isnt long enough for age to play a factor, and when i match them up talent wise, its a no contest, kunitz has just been playing with 2 very good players the last two seasons.

I like that trade a lot. I\'ve been known to trade lesser lights from teams coming off of cup winning and/or sensational years. You\'ve got to think Anaheim will fall back to earth somewhat, and more importantly, what\'s Kunitz\'s real ceiling? 70 points at the most? Shouldn\'t he have hit that last year then? Especially with Sullivan out the first 3 months, you\'ve got to think Dumont\'s got the chance to really put up some numbers.

Sure there\'s some risk, otherwise the other guy wouldn\'t have made the trade, but I think you got higher upside with minimal risk.

I like the trade. The only way it backfires at all is if Selanne comes back, and even then its only for a year.

Dumont wont get extra time because of Sullivans absence largely because he\'s a LW and Sullivans a RW, the absence of Sullivan will only effect Radulov and a lesser light as it pertains to ice time.

I was thinking of extra time more in terms of PP time, in that maybe Dumont will be double-shifted a bit more with the man advantage depending on how everyone else plays. With Kariya and Sullivan both gone, I\'d just throw Arnott, Radulov, and Dumont out there for 2 minutes and hurl the puck at the net repeatedly. Just a thought.
