It\'s true, but I wonder if Kessel played with Hejduk et all how he would do? Who did he play with Shean Donovan or something? Plus off a little cancer treatment. It\'s way too early to tell. For now either way I\'d take Statsny just cause of that team but when the old guys leave, it looks like Kessel will be the more productive fantasy players.

I\'d choose Kessel for the better upside and skill set. He hasn\'t proven anything at the NHL level yet but I think you were asking about long term potential.
One thing I don\'t agree with is choosing making an argument for one player over another based on which team they play for. A couple people mentioned that Colorado is the better team so you should take Stastny. I don\'t agree with that. Winning/losing cycles come and go as teams rebuild and challenge for the cup. Sure you\'re (probably) going to play for the team that drafted you for 6-8 years, but a lot can change in that time period. Coaches get fired, systems get changed and trades are always possible. Look at Pittsburgh. They sucked for YEARS and because of that now they\'ll be a powerhouse for years to come. In a one year league you need to take which team plays for but in keeper leagues I think you have to judge talent individually.

I\'m leaning towards keeping Stastny, but it\'s going to be a tough decision either way Appreciate all the input

Six in one and a half dozen in the other. Both are great prospects and you should always make your choice on which is more valuable right? And value is in the eyes of the beholder, if it doesn\'t really matter to you then the answer of which one to keep is really simple.
Shop the both of them and then take the better deal, the one that gives you the best return is the one you trade.B)

Statsny... I think Kessel may always be a health risk. Its also as easy as the bird in the hand versus the tree thingy.
