my team had a winning record last year against the guy with kovy-crosby-ovy-heatly-marleau

he finished 3rd for the record and i 5th...3 pts back


in head to head goals pool.....ANY 30 goal scorer is a POSITIVE

why

becasue whether i lose 2-1 or 7-1 against someone, im only down 2 pts



the ovys-kovys etc have a tendency to score hattricks and be rally streaky....

hence why if your team last year has a Straka-Shanny-Penner-J.Blake....it could compete night in night out


in my 10 man head to head goals pool...the BEST team on paper has yet to win EVER


i understand now its becaause your better off with 4 30 plus goal men than you are with 2 40 plus goal men and 2 20 goal scorers


a 4 year old can play in a yearly goals pool

if one can be fortunat enough to acquire a heatly or vanek or ovy in a draft or CHEAP...than take him

but why sacrifice your solid DEPTH for a NAME

Ok, just to clarify something ankleburner, Just cause it happened once, doesnt mean it is going to happen again. Even if one team is stacked for talent, but couldnt win your pool last year, doesnt mean its going to happen again. They better team will come out on top, it jsut may take some time for all of the fluke games to get out of the way. It is naive to expect that Sykora/Stastny/Huselius will comptete at any level in any pool as top3 skaters on the team.

Back to the original quesiton, Trade sykora for sure, his value may be high now, but if you can get a cherry/kane/mueller etc... THeir production in a couple of years will make you very happy that you didnt hang onto that 70 pt (when hes on a top line) player.

in a head to head goals pool....common sense dictates that you want the highest goal scorers possible

but

the BEAUTY of head to head goals pool is that a solid deep team can and will easily compete against a stacked top end team

my head to head has 12 forwards with 10 teams...thats 120 forwards

8 dress weekly and we play 3 games(i explained the format above)

i have a guy whos been REBUILDING for 3 years now.....but heres the problem

he just traded frolov and semin for j staal and getzlaf

too much is put into rebuilding....in a head to head goals pool you need 3 prospects tops...the rest...goal scorers(rolston,tucker,blake,ryder etc)

rebuild and what??

i think what fish and typo are trying to say is that the odds are stacked against you with your team vs the ovy team. and i have to agree as well.

are you trying to say that if you had the choice to pick between your team and the ovy team, you would pick the stastny team? i would have to say you are nuts if you would.

i find it hard to believe that with that team you have won money especially in a leaugue with the two other teams mentioned. does your pool need any more people? i would like to join!

question how much money is on the line in your pool and how much have you won from all these rebuilding guys?
