goals pool...head to head format...8 forwards
huselius , sykora and stastny are my top 3....basically all the top goal scorers in the nhl are in our pool....

with this feeble top 3 should i cut bait now and try and get the entry picks to get players like KANE , CHERRY , ESPO and build for the future ????

Time to take your team out behind the shed imho and rebuild.

Depending on how big your league is you might not have to dig that deep for upside players.

Definitely time to rebuild...hold onto Stastny though. That kid\'s going to be special.

Tear it down as fast as you can as that house of cards is on its last legs. Bring it down fast and hard!

My advice on rebuilding is: don\'t rush it. Don\'t trade away all your players if you are not getting good value. \'Rebuilding\' should be a long term plan so if you aren\'t getting the players you want now don\'t be afriad to hold on to them until mid-season.
There was this guy in our pool who \'announced\' he was rebuilding (big mistake) and he got screwed in a lot of deals because he tried to rebuild a 25 man roster in a few weeks.

No offence, but thats a terrible top 3. You dont have one top 30 guy there at all. Build around Stastny, get a good draft pick this year, and rebuild. Throw it next year too and get Tavares, hahaha.

sorry one more point. Trade Sykora now while his trade value is high for a good young prospect, cherry maybe cant see you getting kane. Huselius might be a guy to keep for this year, i cant see you getting much for him. He\'s highly underrated but has low trade value playing on the second line on a team that is defensively minded in Calgary. Hope that helps a little more.

I agree with everyone. Time to rebuild. Sykora is your primary bargaining chip. Trade him now for a prospect and/or pick. don\'t sell him short. Playing with Crosby will lead to 70 points for him. I think you can get a little more than Cherry. A proven guy playing with the best player is worth more than a hot prospect with a lot of uncertainty about his timeframe to play in the NHL. Target someone like Peter Mueller, Bobby Ryan. As was pointed out, take it one step at a time. Slowly trade away older guys for youngsters with upside. Hope this helps.

hence game 1..huselius might get 2 goals and Ovy none...2 pts in the bag

game 2 ovy might get 4 goals and the other guy none...2 pts lost

my goals pool is a 3 game week where i play game 1 sun-mon-tue

game 2 wed- thur

game 3 fri -sat

many of times i hav wiped the floor with the ovys and crosbys and iggys
