My problem with it is that richards at his very best wasnt as good as jokinen. And that hasek while older and hurting still dominates when healthy. I may be the only one here who thinks you won the defence part.

To me it breaks down like this.

Jokinen to Richards is a loss.
Hasek to DiPietro is a loss this year and a win after that
Johnson to Visnovsky is a win in my opinion as it will take johnson a long time, if he ever can, to pass vis\'s scoring.

All in all i think you win long term and lose this year. Is that what you were going for? If so you did well.

Thing is i think you would have done better had you let dom play a bit and then dealt him. But thats hindsight.

I think that you definately paid a higher price to get the added security of DePietro this season. Personally I am not a big fan of Richards, he always has the issues of finding good linemates since Vinny and St. Louis are on a line togehter. Even in his best years, I still think I like Jokinen better.

Hasek if healthy this year (which is obviously a HUGE IF) probably beats out DePietro in most categories (I think the Isles will definately struggle this year with the personel moves made). I think that for at least the next year, possibly two, Visnovsky gets the best of EJ as he adjusts. After that, I would prefer EJ.

The picks (being only 5 apart) are essentially a push to me unless it was a trade for a player that you just had to have.

In the end, I probably don\'t make this trade and look to move Hasek mid-season when he is on fire for a top of the line goalie prospect. I am willing to bet Bryzgalov sees a new team before the end of the year and becomes a starter on that team. I would not be surprised at the end of next season to hear you talking about two goalie keepers as Lundy and Bryzgalov.
