Hey all, got a 12 team keeper league with more-or-less standard stats/setup. I\'m having trouble deciding on my 4th keeper. I had put together and pretty good team last year and have a few guys I can\'t decide on for my 4th slot.
So far I\'m keeping: AO (LW) Heatley (LW/RW) Hossa (RW) My 4th comes down to: E. Staal (C) Vanek (LW) Phaneuf (D) Fleury (G) Ward (G) Last season I kept the first three along with Staal and was able to draft ther remaining guys. 12 teams x 4 keepers = 48 players kept. Now, one tricky point is that this is a dual-division league. The teams finishing 7-12 in Division A move down and the teams finishing 1-6 in Division B move up. The teams moving up can name 1-4 keepers not kept by the teams that have stayed, and then have a supplemental draft to get their rosters to 4 players b/f the regular draft. I only point this out b/c it\'s very possible that the players I don\'t keep will be taken in the supplemental draft and I won\'t have the opportunity to try and redraft them. Makes my decision all the more important. Thanks for any advice.

I\'m all over staal here. I think he\'s a stud center and going to return to his top form.

Goalies win pools, take fluery. It definately is painful to ahve to let Staal go, especially since you need a center, but all fluery is going to be doing for the next several years is win.

chiro - i\'d go with fleury. goalies have more impact.
If not, I like staal but I\'d go with Vanek. If your league uses positions lw is harder to fill.

Hello chiro \'et al\'
Could you provide some information regarding your scoring system? Goaltenders usually have more value. If that is the case in your pool, then I go with Fleury. My thoughts. |

I would definitely go with Staal since you are basically counting points twice (G, A, Pts). Makes skaters of his offensive potential that much higher.

If losses is a category, i would again recomend fluery. His gaa and sv% wont be GREAT, but they will be above average. However, he will get TONS TONS of wins and very few losses.
