Last year I dropped Jordan Stall b/c most of the papers were saying that he will be sent down before he played his 10th game in order to keep a year of eligibility in the OHL. I can\'t remember who I picked up, think it was Olesz. It was a one year money pool. Crap...

This is more of a trade one and it never happened but I offered Ovechkin in a trade early in his rookie season (I think the offer was Ovechkin and Vokoun for Simon Gagne, Alexander Frolov, and Roberto Luongo, Luongo was still a Panther at the time) and was turned down. I later got Luongo in a different trade. Weird to think what might have happened had that gone through.

My worst drop ever.

To set the scene. Its the 2000 year (really 2000-2001 i believe)

I\'m winning my pool handily up about 200 points. I drop the then non-proven non-performing steve sullivan whom i had as a center. Pick up the hot starting playing on powerhouse pittsburg Jan Hrdina. Well Hrdina flops and Sully bounces back to have a 75 point year. I dont play hrdina in my final roster (only final points counts) Ronning is my 5th c (we play 5) Sully in the pool is 31 points better than Ronning. So i am down 31 points straight up by my lame descision.

BUT!!!! (dun dun duhhhhh)

Sully is listed at the time as a C/W. Second place dude picks up sully. As a wing. Sully plays on his core at 53 points better than the rucinsky who was his 10th (we play 10) Total loss to me is the 31 i lose + the 53 he gains.

Net. I lose the pool by 58 points.

To him.

Ugg. All i gotta say. To this day i still get irritated at myself.

I picked up Michalek on Waivers last year and dealt him for Heatley (I had to add a little)

I also picked up Bieksa on Waivers but dropped him :S

Worse I dropped Huselius :woohoo:

I guess as long as you make more good ones then bad....

Dropped Vanek on day 3 of the season last year and picked up Vrbata. Finished second in the league - dead last in +/- which was my undoing.

I resent this thread and all you honest guys, because it invites me to bare my shame. However, perhaps a confession will be healing - I dropped Crosby after drafting him in the 2nd round (2005-06)after about 4 weeks into the season - to pick up Pitkanen.
