Avery, Hasek and Briere are all divers who are very bad at it.

Tucker takes a beating but he also dives quite a bit.

Hasek, Briere, and Avery would be my top three. Great call D.Monkey..

you foget about Ribeiro and Crosby! They are master divers too! I heard that Crosby have been told to stop that by MArio! But during his junior years and at the beginning of this years that was horrible...now it\'s seems to be better!

I havent seen Ovechkin dive much in the NHL, in fact I\'ve only really seen highlights of him, but WJHC in Halifax he took a famous dive in the Gold medal game. Got the ref to blow the play dead as the canadians were heading up the ice returned 30 seconds later. I also remember being unimpressed with him, not skill wise, at the WJHC in North Dakota. I want to clarify this, it was clear in Halifax never mind N. Dakota that he had the skill to be the real deal, but in both tourneys, and I didnt see a lot of his games in N. Dakota, he was to put it politely a wimp.

Just thought I\'d add something to this. This wasnt a dive but the best clip I\'ve ever seen of a player going down without being touched by another player was Luc Robitaille, trying to skate on an advertisement that had fallen off the boards. I still remember to this day him taking a stride and falling immediately, I think he did it again before ridding his skates of the boardless advertisement.

Default Re:NHL DIVERS?

I\'ll never forget Keith Jones vs. Dominik Hasek. Jones was a man after my own heart that day.

He skated behind the net area and Hasek was there. The breeze from his stride may have hit Hasek...he didn\'t touch him, but possibly the wind did...anyway, Hasek went down like he was shot. Legs flailing in air, the whole bit. The ref blew the play down and Jones went to the box.

A period later, a similar situation came up. Hasek was playing the puck behind the net and Jonesy came in. BAM. He hammered Hasek straight into next week. See - he no doubt felt that he was going to get a penalty regardless because of the professional diver, so he made it count. hahaha

Mike Ribeiro doing bacon in the center of the ice in 2004 playoff was pretty good
