I don\'t see why everyone thinks Ouellet will do well. Fact is, the guy got cut because he couldn\'t produce with Malkin/Staal for most of the year. What makes you think he\'ll do any better with Richards and...who?

To the list of players who could well be overlooked by your opponents in 07-08, I would add:
- Tkachuk (if he plays with Kariya, at least on the PP) - Pavelski (if he could play a lot with the big guys in SJ) - Stafford (some might think BUFFALO is now a decimated team) - Samsonov (fresh new start! could click with Havlat, Toews, etc.) - Bell (now with the Leafs, it\'s a fresh new start for him too) |

Tuomo Ruutu - good for 60+ this year. Always had the talent and now he has the linemates.
Brad Boyes - I think he will play with KAriya/Tkachuk and get close to his rookie season. Todd White - For some reason I think we will click with Kovalchuk like he di for Alffy in Ottawa and have a career year. Scott HArtnell - this will be his breakout year playing along side a tonne of young talent. Stephen Weiss - Once he was healthy last year he was on fire. IF he can stay healthy he could have a career year. |

Ouellet is extremely streaky. He had 10 pts in his last 13 games and he also had a run of 19 points in 17 games in Jan/Feb. Not to mention he started his career with 15 points in 11 games two years ago. Streaks are a part of youth and as he matures he will round out his game. He was cut (i.e. not qualified) from the team not because he couldn\'t cut it, but because he could take the Penguins to arbitration. There was a real danger that they could be forced to pay him $1.8 million, so they figured they could get Sykora for little more than that. The only statement that makes is that Sykora is better than Ouellet, which he probably is.

Ouellet Gonna play with Richards and has some old time pre-established chemistry with him. With richards skill and puck dishing habits he should make your roster without breaking out offencively. If he does however find his groove he could be 70 points without too much of a stretch.
Hlavac Odds on favourite to be the other wing on the above line. Has had nhl success before and shouldnt be too much of a stretch for him to hit the 60 point mark again. I\'m going to avoid listing off the obvious ones as i\'m sure you have read the dobber guide and dont need them rementioned. The one real odd ball i plan to draft is Magnuss Johansson Euro D signed by chicago this off season. He\'s got a nice habit of posting above a half point per game and a plus and to me its worth a late pick in a draft to see if the can translate that to the NHL.
