I\'m the Pittsburgh Penguins in this Dynasty and already have Crosby and Letang so he is a welcomed addition.
The deal... Ryan Whitney and Mikko Koivu for Jack Johnson and Chris Higgins I will definately miss the excitement of the phenom JJ but I think it is worth getting ryan. What do you think?

i like whitney as well and the fact he\'s with the pens helps , but you gave up at least eqal value and maybe even lost some ground;but it\'s your team and you\'ve gotten the player you wanted , you win!

i think you did just fine. atm whitney is at the top for defenseman, he\'s gonna get #1 time in all offensive situations with gonchar. as good as JJ \"might\" be whitney has already shown he\'s here. if you look at Dobber\'s ratings i do believe he also thinks whitney is at the top for D men.
koivu is a lock to play on the 2nd line for minny. not to bad. he\'s still young and who knows, as long as everyone is healthy he\'s gonna play with bouchard, sweet. higgins on the other hand has already got himself enrolled to the band aid club. just a matter of how committed he is to it. plus he doesn\'t play on an offensively dominant team(sorry hab fans) so you can\'t be sure what he\'s gonna do. i think you won this trade, cud become a bit diferent if higgins actually turns out but from this point right now its gonna be a few years before JJ and higgins even come close to the output of whitney and koivu imo anyway.

Higgins - future 70 point player vs. Koivu future 65 point player. I like the deal as a whole. Johnson will be a steady 65-point rearguard on any team, but for the next few seasons, Whitney will be so much more! B)

Good trade as long as Whitney doesn\'t get traded in the short term.

Yeah a trade would be awful.
I was thinking with Dobber on this one. That is why I\'m so excited. If the superstars do go off, Whitney will be right in the middle of it. But what if, heaven forbid, he was traded? What kind of pt totals would he get then

ok, since when has there ever even been the slightest rumor of ryan whitney getting traded? it would be retarded to trade whitney, especially after they just signed that bargain of a deal with him.

Anything is possible though. As long as the unexpected doesn\'t happen, it was a good trade. Post edited by: Guy Incognito, at: 2007/08/04 18:19 |
