Default Collecting Memorabilia

Thought I would take us down a bit of a different path but would appreciate your feedback. I am interested to find out where you have had the most success in locating your treasure. I collect autographed jerseys (usually through ebay), pins, pucks, photographs, cards, magazines, goalie masks, newspapers. The pucks and pins have been obtained through trades at junior games, and silent auctions. Where have you found most of your treasure?

If you collect only hockey, then disregard this, but I sell high end vintage baseball memorabilia. If you are a baseball fan, check out my website..........

I\'d love to get my hands on a signed bossy jersey and a signed lucky luc kings jersey.

I\'ve looked at them on ebay, and these two particulars aren\'t actually that expensive... maybe I\'ll ask about them for xmas presents, or use my keeper league proceeds/winnings for them (since I\'m kind of short on cash right now - I\'m closing on a house this weekend).

Ebay\'s been pretty reliable for me. I just need Gretzky and Howe rookies to complete my personal HOF collection.

Someday...

how old are you repent?

By the above, it sort of seems like you are fairly young; like a teenager... is that accurate? The tone of that post just seemed very \"innocent\" and/or \"boyish.\"

nope, not a teenager, i\'m 27. what exactly is boyish and innocent about having a father who collects cool stuff?

if I didn\'t know better, i\'d say you were making a pass at me! does my \"boyish innocence\" turn you on?

HAHA... I don\'t know... It just had a very young tone to it... I can\'t put my finger on what exactly made it sound youngish... just a weird post...

Normally your posts seem very mature, this one was just kind of young... i don\'t know why it seems that way...

Edit:
Maybe it\'s because you talk about your dad collecting stuff instead of yourself... usually when I hear people talk about the way their parents do things (like you do in that post), it\'s because they are too young to do them themselves...

i dunno dude, i think you are just disappointed that I am too old for your tastes

I mention my father because he is really into collecting - next to his collection, mine is quite small. He also collects cars, mostly Studebakers, and racing memorabilia. I got my pack rat genes from him.

One of my favourite items in his hockey collection: Game-worn Greztky-signed Team Canada jersey.

I think of my stuff, my favourites are my Ron Francis stick and the signed photo I received from Francis for my birthday as a kid I am hoping to attend the HOF ceremony this fall, but it\'s a longshot seeing as it\'s on Rememberance Day for some reason.

I have a fairly sizable collection of signed 8x10 photos. Most were obtained in person, and the few I have gotten off e-bay are from certified dealers. I also have been framing some of them, but as you guys know framing is ridiculously expensive. Some of my favourites:

Bobby Orr - frame by frame four photos of \"the goal\"
Sidney Crosby/Alex Ovechkin dual signed photo
Roberto Luongo, Martin Brodeur, Patrick Roy signed 8x10\'s framed together

some of my favourite non-framed photos:
Joe Sakic
Pavel Bure (I have a bunch, mostly signed in person from his playing days in Vancouver)
Rod Brind\'Amour with the cup (probably my favorite active player)

I also had a substantial jersey collection but sold most of it off to help cover my tuition. B)
