H2H Keeper league with standard categories
Gionta Zherdev Nagy Recchi Arnott Dumont Stillman Roloson Regardless of needs, I just care about pure value. I am wondering if Gionta is the clear cut choice... |

Yeah, Gionta\'s definitely the way to go. The rest of these guys are coming off of bad to mediocre seasons and can be picked up in later rounds.

To often these questions depend on your circumstance.
If you want to win now. You go with Recchi. Recchi: 21g,44a, 65 points in 82 games. (granted he was born in 19012) Nagy: 12g, 43a, 55 points in 80 games. Gionta: 25g, 20a, 45 points in 62 games. If you want to win now then you go with Recchi. Otherwise I go with Gionta. He is a goal scorer. |

I would go with Gionta. Sykora will play with Crosby not Recchi. I think Recchi will play with Staal. My pick anyway.

I am not so sure it\'s Gionta anymore. Who is going to center him? Parise? I might pick Stillman. He came back after knee injury and played well so I think he can have a good season on a determined Carolina team.

Gionta........he could easily net 40goals,the others won\'t.He will do fine with Parise.

I agree that Gionta is the correct choice, though I would point out that he is coming off a \'bad to mediocre season\' as well. But I watched him play all four years at BC and with heart like that, I would be shocked if he didn\'t rebound in a serious way next season.

Well, must agree : it\'s pretty hard, looking at that list, not to go with Gionta. In my opinion, the only other two players you could make a case for on that list are Nagy and Zherdev.
Nagy, in LA, will finally play in an offensive system and get a real chance at living up to his potential, which is still great. There\'s the band-aid factor playing against him, though, but one could say that Gionta was Groin Man last year, so... Then, there is the Zherdev Enigma. If he wakes up, he\'ll do damage. Will he : that is the question. Amazing potential, but he\'s playing in Columbus. If he\'s traded before you have to make your selection, he could be an intriguing choice. If he\'s stuck in Columbus, I\'d stay away. All that being said, if you really need to go with the safest bet, Gionta is your guy. If not, Nagy or Zherdev could be worth the gamble. |
