Default Edler for Campbell +

I have a couple trade offers pending to another GM. He has another deal in the works that may involve Edler so I'm just sitting tight right now, but thought maybe I'd see if these are good trades for me:

1) His Edler for my Campbell & Granlund

2) His Edler & Steen for my Campbell & Wheeler

My reasons for wanting the trade is for improving keepers next year. At this point none of the guys I'm offering will be keepers for me next year, but Edler would make my keepers:

Kane, Parise, Neal, Benn, Simmonds, Pietrangelo, Edler, Lundqvist

I guess what I need to consider is Edler a solid upgrade over Jack Johnson/Faulk/Campbell, one of whom would likely be my last keeper?

Appreciate any thoughts!

I like your strategy of getting a 2nd keeper D but Edler/JJ/Campbell are all very similar so I'm not sure Edler should be your guy to target. .

Your cats are very interesting. Do some serious number crunching and figure out the difference and who you should be targetting. Maybe it is Edler, I don't know. either way i like the strategy of upgrading your keepers but it's a unique scoring system so it's tough to really give you the green or red light without some serious spreadsheet homework haha

So far this year Edler has 55 fantasy points, Campbell has 42, and Johnson has 33. Last year it was 177, 148, and 142 respectively.

I think of the 3 Edler is the best suited to have the most fantasy points in my league moving forward thats why I'm targeting him. I agree that there are better targets but I've looked around and the asking prices is more than I'm willing to give up.

Another reason I like Edler is because I'm getting killed in plus/minus stats, and he's a huge upgrade over Campbell in that area and should be a decent upgrade over Johnson as well.

Looks like you've got it figured out then.

Looks good to me - it's just a matter of how much it hurts your team this year and whether or not you're going for the win this year.

Cheers
