Yes, the trick is figuring out which guys could make it back to me in round one, ill most likely have pick 12. Datsyuk will probably go early. Someone did not keep him last year and I grabbed him third overall.

I don't think Galchenyuk will go in round one. Oel might if he gets Norris consideration. Rinne will for sure go in the first round. Not sure about skinner.

the point is keeping datsyuk doesnt mean you only get 6 keepers after next season instead of 7

if datsyuk gives you the best chance of all of those players to win next year you take that chance

you are keeping plenty of young high upside players that there is no harm in keeping a great player that might retire after next season

I'd probably keep Kronwall.

A 6F/4D league is one in which defensemen have considerable value.
And, since PIM +/- and PPG factor in... having a defenseman that bombs shots (more goals) and plays on a good team (DET) is nice to have.
