Default Looking ahead - which 7 to keep next season?

Team and scoring settings in sig.

Locks for keepers:
Kane, giroux, sequin.

Most likely:
Hall

Debatable:
Datsyuk, Rnh, rinne, skinner, oel.

Unlikely but possible:
Galchenyuk.

Reasoning: rinne is a top 3 goalie but I don't know if the preds can win often enough moving forward. New goalies seem to emerge every year as well. Nuge has been brutal this year and these settings diminish his value. Skinner concusion and durability concerns. Datsyuk probably doesn't have many years left. Oel is on verge of being elite but he is more keeper worthy than my forwards? And Galchenyuk value might not be on par with those guys yet.

Thinking ill win this season and have 12th pick every round next year, no snake draft, might be hard to repeat.

I would keep Kane, Giroux, Seguin, Hall, OEL, Rinne. Hope to draft RNH or Skinner in the first round next year. RNH's value will be low at the draft next year because of this year, but don't be fooled, kid is a stud. Rinne is a perennial top 5 goalie and would keep him, OEL is fantastic.

Giroux
Seguin
P.Kane
Hall
RNH
Datsyuk
Skinner

I'm not keeping Rinne in a start 1G league that counts only W/SO.
I'm not keeping OEL either... too many "good" defensemen out there these days.

I'd have no qualms about keeping 7 forwards, even knowing it's a weekly league. You just play the strongest schedules.

Does datsyuk retirement concerns make keeping him a bad choice? He might only have one year left.

Same 7 for me as Penguin. I would draft OEL early next year. He's going to have a Karlsson esq brakeout.

Giroux
Kane
Seguin

With goals/shots being as important as they are in your league...

Skinner
Hall

You own a top 3 G, you have to keep him.

Rinne

Last keeper spot goes to...

Datsyuk

Well hypothetically if he was one of my seven keepers for next season and than retired I'd only get one keeper season out him.

Whereas if I kept a bubble guy like oel, rinne, Galchenyuk etc I could have them as keepers for 5+ years.

Rinne must be kept. He's leading the league in SO right now isn't he?
