This is for a sim league (the one in the sig below), so the player's overall abilities are key.

I was offered Joonas Korpisalo and a 1st round pick (should be a late 1st rounder) vs Oscar Dansk and Martin Frk. At first glance, I don't think I want to make this trade, but the goalies have me slightly confused...

Was wondering if anyone could give me some insight on Oscar Dansk and Joonas Korpisalo... normally, Dansk should be ahead of Korpisalo, but I was wondering if the Finnish prospect had made significant progress vs the Swedish one...

Let me start off by saying I don't know how to scout goalies, how to see their potential, how to determine if they are good or not.....I depend on thegoalieguild.com

On Justin's site, and other sites/people I read/hear from, Dansk is obviously the better prospect, but it's pretty close.

And with the crazy developmental path with goalies, I'd say it's close enough to take the first rounder over Frk.

How late of a first is it?

EDIT: Just noticed it's a 30 team league. That changes a lot.

As of this morning, his team is 2nd in the East, 3rd overall (I'm 3rd in the West, 7th overall). Of course it also depends on his playoff performance, but I figure it should be around 25th overall or later.

Moot point anyways, since I've acquired Korpisalo and the 1st pick via a totally different trade. Now I have both Dansk and Korpisalo, so as long as one of them makes it, I'm good.

i dont know much about this Korpisalo kid..but my neighbours kid plays for Erie( where Dansk is playing) in the OHL..Erie is playing like sh** again this year..and this kid gets about 40 shots a game against him..lots from close range..they don't play a good defensive game and it shows in their record..but Dansk keeps them in the game till the end of the second period..then he folds..due to exhaustion or just pi**ed off at his team..but i think if given the right team in front of him...this kid could shine..but he is a few years from the NHL..
