Yes I would. I might not if I was trying to win this year though.

I would.

Zetterberg had 68 points (33g,35a)in 63 games, so did have some injury time.
Kopitar had 61 points (20g,41a)in 72 games.

If you have point differential between goals and assists then you might not want to do the deal. If your pool is same points for goals/assists then it doesn\'t matter. Their total point differential was minimal.

The \'balance\' for me favors Kopitar because of his age, (20 compared to 26) and that he is playing on a much improved team from last year. His upside is higher than Z. I am not suggesting that Z is \'over the hill\'.

I consider that Kopitar produced similar to Zetterberg at a much younger age and will only get better, with experience and an improved supporting cast.

Hum, not sure about that.... I reeeeally like Zett and if he stay healthy (biggest concern) i think his upside could turn around 105-110 pts for a couple of years.

On the other side, Kopitar is young and he\'s gonna play in a offensive +++ team.

Short term, Zetts
Long term, pretty equal
risk factor: zett band-aid potential, Kopitar dying in a plane crash

i like gambling, i\'d take Zetterberg

Zetterberg over Kopitar. Yeah I had to think about it, but not for long. Take the sure fire top line guy over a guy with great potential.

Zetterberg had an off year last season. Kopitar will likely experience some growing pains, what 20 year old doesn\'t?

I would not trade Zetterburg for Kopitar. Zetterburg for Kopitar plus another young player and/or draft pick? Maybe. If I wasn\'t trying to win this year.

Keep Zetterberg. he went on one hell of a tear last year and I think he will continue that into this year with Datsyuk. Clear the road for him because this will be a huge year I think!

Kopitar is awesome. I think Kopitar will turn out long term to be better than Zetterberg and will improve a lot next year on a deeper LA team, but right now that is not a fair deal. Zetterberg is young and improving too but much more proven and on a better team so you need more compensation for Zetts.

Also keep in mind Zetterberg is a 2nd half terror. You could try to re-acquire him in November/December after he has his usual slow start, and if you keep him don\'t get sucked into dumping him in November.

I vote for Zetterberg if it\'s a straight up deal. If you can get something added on to Kopitar you may start to turn my opinion!

I like Zetts too but yep I would take that deal. LA will have more offense than I see Det. gettin. Kopitar will be in the thick of it I see their PP as being really good.
