Given your current goalies... and assuming you can only start 2G... I'd say you will "bench" some of your talent in the future. Without knowing more of your league situation, I'd call you crazy... yes.

It's not necessarily a bad trade... but it doesn't seem to make sense with three quality goalies, especially with your two highest quality goalies in the Eastern Conference where schedules are likely similar.

Anyone with a team like that does not need advice from anyone else. That being said do you really need Price with those goalies you have? If you had bad goalies I'd have been completely on board because they do make up 40% of your league's scoring but with Rask and Lundqvist you already have two top five goalies and then add in the underrated Niemi and Price is redundant no?

The only thing I could see is swapping Lundqvist to replace Malkin and hopefully regenerating your squad just a little bit younger.

Your goalies are your weakest? Compared to who? Rask and Lundqvist are phenomenal goalies. Just because you didn't "need" Malkin, you still don't give him away for what you did. Pengwin was being nice, you made a terrible trade.

my goalies stats are the lowest..im 2nd last in SO, 5th in GAA and 6th in SV% ive only recently acquired lundquist.

Malkin is great when he is playing but seeing how i bought him low when he was on IR i like the deal but thanks for the opinons everyone

it was auto draft and i ahd none of them lol...just very shrewd dealings...attacking teams weaknesses etc

Since you only recently acquired Lundqvist, you haven't had a fair chance to see what a Rask/Lundqvist tandem can bring you. As an owner of that tandem in one keeper league, I can assure you they are a one-way ticket to the top of all goalie cats, with shutouts being the only grey area. In fact, Price might be a detriment to your team, as Montreal is still vulnerable to the odd blowout, where Boston and NYR rarely allow more than three goals in a game, and usually two or less.

Your team is amazing though, and it still looks like a winner after the trade, but I would not have done this deal.
