3 year window changes things up

1. Crosby
2. Malkin
3. Stamkos
4. Giroux
5. Tavares (come on he plays for the Islanders)
6. E. Staal
7. Toews
8. Kopitar
9. Benn
10. H. Sedin (he's 33)

-Backstrom can kiss his ass goodbye with the way the Caps keep playing.
-Spezza's health constantly worries me
-Thornton is getting older and slower, but meh
-Getzlaf....well I guess it depends where he might end up. I still have a problem sticking him in a top 10 list
-Seguin could be close next year.
-I really wanted to put Datsyuk in my list

My list last year:

1. Crosby*
2. Malkin
3. Stamkos
4. Tavares
5. Giroux
...
6. E.Staal
7. Toews
8. N.Backstrom
9. H.Sedin
10. Kopitar

I'm actually going to keep this EXACT same list from last year.

FWIW, I'm looking pretty damn swell for this list.
Tavares is Yahoo Rank #7 vs. Giroux #28... so nicely pegged that one (for now).
Eric Staal is Yahoo Rank #3... and I think #6 was probably the highest that any (sane) person had E.Staal pegged.
Toews currently at Yahoo Rank #30.

The most debatable guys are 8/9/10 in Nick Backstrom and Hank Sedin and Kopitar. I'd say somebody could question the value of these guys, but the enormous ceiling is still there.
There were a TON of guys here on DobberHockey who were going bananas on Kopi's value after the cup run. Unh-uh. Not me. Good, but not #6 or #7 or #8 good.
Kopitar is #61 Yahoo right now, which is outside of top 25 C-eligible for this year.

I'd actually consider Henrik Zetterberg to be VERY close to Kopitar in this race.
And Hank is ranked Yahoo #14 right now.

In the Rocky Horror Roto Show (the best collection of GMs I play with in any league), the top 15 centers went as:

1. Crosby (1)
2. Malkin (2)
3. Giroux (4)
4. Stamkos (5)
5. Tavares (6 - me)
6. Backes (14... it's a HITS league)
7. H.Sedin (17)
8. Toews (18)
9. Kopitar (21)
10. E.Staal (24 - me)
11. Zetterberg (34 - me)

12. Nc.Backstrom (37)
13. J.Benn (39)
14. Datsyuk (45)
15. Spezza (50)

*This league includes HITS and also FOW... so wing-eligible forwards (Giroux, Backes, E.Staal, Zetterberg, Benn) did have a boost in value that doesn't apply to most leagues.

I like this list. Maybe switch Malkin and Stamkos.

I dont see how backstrom is not on some of ur guys list... he is so young still and he has hit 100+ twice... no way he shouldnt be high on this list

I also prob put thorton on here and most people would disagree but this guys continuously out points ppl and is a huge pp threat and he never gets injured

There almost definitely was no second time. Back when the Caps were worthwhile, he hit 88pts (08-09), then 101pts (09-10). 2011 he hit 65. His entire success is based around Ovechkin not being a giant piece of crap.

I was just scrolling down to write this when....bamm....you beat me to it! Nice

Crosby is in a league of his own. Any list that doesn't start with him loses me completely. Malkin vs Stamkos is a good debate for 2 and 3

Have you watched any Washington games in the last two years? Backstrom does not deserve to be on that list just because he was able to pass the puck to Ovechkin some time ago. Obviously he has even lost that!
