If you can get decent value for him then do it. Like I mentioned above I was able to deal him for Elias Campbell and a pick upgrade.

Green is like a curse to own in fantasy, The GM i dealt him to I'm facing this week and wouldn't you know he is now missing practice while Campbell has 5 pts in his last 2 for me

It amazes me that you were able to get that for Green given that he's played about 97 games the past 2+ seasons (including this one) and registered a total of 38 points in that time. I doubt very much that anyone in my league would give up either Elias or Campbell for him, much less both in addition to a pick upgrade. That is one hell of trade for you! Folks seeking to bail out now ought to set their expectations a good bit lower I would think.

If he doesn't produce very soon, I'm going to be dropping him for a Goligoski or Corvo- caliber player.

This season is too short to be waiting on guys like Green.

Yeah that's the way I feel too. I really doubt anyone would be willing to even roster him at this point in my league...but the only thing stopping me from dropping him is the off-chance someone does add him. Nobody's willing to pay for him but I could see someone taking a gamble on him for free...I know I would.

At the end of the day, he plays crazy amount of special teams minutes. Ovy and co. haven't exactly been helping him point wise. The groin injury is frustrating, but if you have a free spot, I'd bench him until he plays a good week, injury free rather than a flat out drop. Potential is still there, to a lesser extent of course.

You guys will love this:

Mike Green has apparently aggravated his groin injury.
That's why Green missed Friday's practice. "It’s just not quite feeling right," Capitals coach Adam Oates said. "He played a couple games, got hit a little bit. It’s just not quite right, so we’re taking a step back until he heals." Green previously missed three straight games due to the injury.

Just dropped him for Dougie Hamilton in my full keeper a couple minutes ago, and I don't care who knows it. It took me way too long to do it, and let me tell you, clicking the "Add Player" button was so liberating. Frankly, I expect someone to grab him off waivers and I say be my guest. If he does turn it around and become reasonably relevant again, good on them. I'd prefer to trade in my Green card today and live in peace and harmony in the meantime. Good riddance.

Dougie Hamilton, nice PPP with Seguin this afternoon. Looking forward to that duo on the PP for years to come!

Smart move. You won't regret it one bit. Let Green be someone else's headache

Funny story; earlier this season, I offered the Green GM Kronwall for Green and a 4th. The GM, who is a bit of a dork sometimes, said he wanted Pietrangelo (at the time he was 2nd in league D scoring). I asked him if he was feeling all right? Maybe he just got over a concussion or something.

We didn't do the deal and thank the hockey Gods we didn't. Kronwall is first in D scoring now and Green is...well....Green is Green.
