In a keeper league now trying to decide whether or not to use Kadri as my last spot. Lots of divisive opinions on this guy all over the net, of course.
I am in interested, what is the general dobber consensus? Is he a 60 pt guy? 70-80 possible? More/less/in between? |

Ok, I should have been clear I am talking about long term and not just for the remainder of season. I am hoping it is a given he will eventually accumulate some more quality line mates.

I always liked him, he's actually creative with the puck. Too many players succeed only on physical tools these days. I could see him being a 70 pt player.

I heard he once ate 21 hot dogs, so maybe a ceiling of 24-25 if he really commits himself?
Oh wait, we're talking about points? I don't know, mid-60s if all goes well?

I've defended this kid for years around here and now I'm even more impressed with him than I ever was! I had him penciled in as a 60-65 guy but after watching him closely this year I now bump that by about 10 points. I think he has all the tools to become a 70-75 point player with the upside for a little more. The only thing holding this kid back right now are linemates and NHL maturity. Carlyle has done an admirable job reigning in and refocusing Kadri's creative outburts and things will only improve as Kadri becomes more comfortable and confident in this role. He isn't affraid to get into the dirty areas and his vision is incredible.

I guess it would depend on where the Leafs plan on using him long term. I see him as a top 6 type of centre and with those estimates, 70-75 pts wouldnt be out of the question. Until Grabo or Bozak get out of his way, I wouldnt expect much more then 60+pts from him. The skill level is there, its the opportunity thats needed to get to the next level. Not many 3rd liners hitting big numbers.

For sure! Long term he is not a 3rd liner, that's just where the Leafs are breaking him in this year and in reality there isn't really a traditional 2nd/3rd line on the Leafs right now. Frattin and Kadri were the driving force of the offense many nights. Kadri already has twice the offensive skill of Bozak so there's no chance he holds him back. Note to anyone holding Bozak.....sell, sell, sell! He'll either be shipped out this summer or end up on the 3rd line.

good a time as any for a bump!
but really, after watching this guy this year pretty much every game i remain confused as to how most point projections top out at 60-65 points in a peak year for him. |
