One of the guys in my league seems to think malkin is out long term, and offered to trade him to me for thomas vanek. Now I just read that he skated today and is symptom free. Am I an idiot for not taking this already?

Concussions are scary but Vanek is done scoring at a 90 pt pace for the rest of the season (I'd value him as a 30 G, 60 pt guy going forward) and Malkin should improve upon his already solid start once he comes back. Doesn't sound like his injury was too bad. DO IT!

Injuries are scary, but I would trade Vanek for Malkin. It's a risk, but it's well worth it.
