I was hoping Vokoun would be one of the better backups in the league this season, but he has continually hurt my team...

time to dump him for someone younger or better?

Currently looking into Khudobin, Khabibulin, gustavsson, Nilstorp or poulin ...

The pickings are pretty slim for our goalie WW right now..

More concerned about this season, but some future potential wouldnt hurt

khudobin should get a few games in the short term because the bruins schedule gets a little tougher. Aside from that would go khabi and see if he gets traded.... also it's a contract year, khabi's favourite.

I agree with making the switch to Khudobin. Somewhere or another, there's another thread in here detailing that the Bruins have a boatload of games coming up. The point of which for current purposes is that it should translate into more starts on the horizon for Khudobin on a team comprised of stronger defensive defensemen than the Pens have to offer with at least an equally good shot at putting up wins.

I'm debating a similar move. I only have Vokoun in a deeper league only because I have Fleury. Idea was to lock up all the Pens starts. But Vokoun is killing me too. Thinking of dropping Vokoun for Bernier. Kinda surprised Bernier is sitting out there on the wire. Just can't believe Vokoun will continue to be this bad as he should get some starts. You know after last year the Pens want Fleury fresh for the playoffs.

Not sure how many starts Bernier will be getting you, but if its a full keeper, theres absolutely no reason that he should be available.

On the case of Vokoun...the number of starts he gets isn't really the issue for me.. I just want some solid stats in the spot starts he does get.

Agreed, I'm not worried about the number of starts for Vokoun either. What I meant is, theoretically, if he plays a little more hopefully his performance will improve.

With my 5 goalies I get all the Canucks and Pens starts, plus most of the Habs with Price. So I'm wondering in a 10 team league where we keep 15 if I'm better off dumping Vokoun for Bernier. I doubt I can keep Bernier anyway though, but he could get traded too.
