Who would you rather own in a keeper and why?

Obviously Strome has bigger expectations being drafted earlier, but Nyquist is doing well in the AHL and is going to play for a much better team.

I'd much rather have Strome. He has star potential whereas I see Nyquist more like Filppula-type of player. I would love to be wrong about Nyquist as I own him in one league but I don't see a future star like Datsyuk/Zetterberg in him like many here do. I would also temper expectations with Strome but I like his potential quite a lot.

I prefer Nyquist to Strome. I trust Nyquist's solid two-way game translating to the NHL more than I do Strome's flashy game. I also watched the Isles screw with Nino last year and I have less faith in them developing players than I do the Wings. I own Nyquist in a pts only keeper and I would not trade him for Strome but I am lower on Strome than a lot of people.

I like them both (as you can see below) but since your league has PIMs I would go with Strome if I had to choose one. Nyquist will be a lady byng candidate; Strome will not. He also has a higher offensive ceiling IMO.

Generally I'm looking for prospects who are most likely to make the biggest impact as early as possible in their NHL careers. With the way the wings slowly develop their forwards it could be years before Nyquist sees top line minutes and maybe even longer till he hits that higher echelon. Strome is definitely more of a risk but he will be given every chance to be a centre piece on the 2nd line and likely play on PP with Tavy. Easy choice imo.
