From Yahoo;
Thu, Mar 7 McDonald (knee) skated with his teammates on Thursday, the St. Louis Dispatch reports. Recommendation: McDonald skating with the team is promising, but there is no estimate as to when he will return to game action. (Rotowire.com)

Steen update:
Alexander Steen (shoulder) is not on the Blues road trip but continues to work out in St. Louis. Steen was placed on the injured reserve list Saturday after suffering the injury a week ago during practice. He is eligible to come off the IR at any time but his return is still at least a few days away as he has not skated with the team. Steen has four goals and 12 assists this season in 18 games. Andy McDonald (knee) skated with the Blues on Friday, but he's not ready to return.
Blues coach Ken Hitchcock doesn't think that McDonald will play on Saturday or Sunday. At the same time, he's upbeat about McDonald's progress. "We'll see how he does today," Hitchcock said. "But he feels really good. We're hopeful that with all this work that he's doing with us right now that, when we get back, he should get closed to going." They must be pretty close as the Blues opted not to sign Arnott.

Closer?:
Andy McDonald (knee) accompanied the Blues on their five-game road trip and was on the ice for most of the time. He was considered to be "week to week," but he may be a little ahead of that timeline. "He'll let us know when he's ready and we're not going to rush him back," GM Doug Armstrong said. Source: St. Louis Post-Dispatch Mar 11 - 3:40 PM

Alexander Steen (shoulder) may not be able to return during St. Louis' three-game home stand this week, but he is on the mend.
"Alex has taken some time and he feels better," GM Doug Armstrong said. "Again, we're working under the assumption that he's getting stronger. If we get him on the home stand, to me, that's a bonus. If not, it doesn't look like it'll be much past the home stand." Steen hasn't played since Feb. 23 because of a shoulder injury. Source: St. Louis Post-Dispatch Mar 11 - 3:37 PM
