Was offered Parise/Goligoski/ for JVR/Yandle/M. Green

Parise would become my 4th keeper in place of JVR going forward. Also of note, I'm out of it this year and am pushing hard for next year.

Main question being, you think Parise turns it on again? I'm liking JVR in T.O. especially with Lupul yet to really play and Kessel yet to really heat up.

Limited keeper? Definitely do it. Parise is far and away the best player of the deal. Who cares about giving up Yandle and Green, they would be dropped anyways. Would you have traded Parise for Lupul last year? Probably not based on points. Would you be kicking yourself for not making that deal this year? Definitely. Click accept. Parise is a much better player than JVR.

personally i wouldnt do it

i think parise and jvr are two players headed in completely different directions

parise looked like he was righting the ship at the beginning of the season but now that he is finally the MAN which everyone claimed would make him so much better things dont appear to be all that much better

i think both defensemen you are giving up are better than the one you are getting back as well

I agree I didn't pay attention to the number of keepers.

If I am reading this all right, you are basically saying that right now JVR is your 4th (and final) keeper and everyone else in this trade will not be kept at seasons end.

If that is the case, I would much rather have Parise as my last keeper over JVR.

I'd do this deal if that is in fact the case.

Wait. No need to completely deplete your team for a better keeper. You can hold off and wait closer to the deadline to decide if it's worth it. When dealing with a limited keeper league trades the team that gets the better ALWAYS WINS if...and I say IF that team has determined it can't compete. The guy is clearly making you pay through the nose to acquire a better keeper because he wants to win this year. By doing this trade you're essentially saying screw it I'm giving up this year. Looking at your team I think it's too early to throw in the towel this year so that's why I say wait. If you're really feeling compelled to give up this year you HAVE to get a pick upgrade as part of this deal and really sell the fact that the GM is going to acquire assets taht will help him win.
