I don't think Gillis is being arrogant. He's doing what any smart GM would do. In order to trade Luongo you have to showcase him. On top of that he has been playing very very very well. And since they are in the business of winning hockey games there is nothing wrong with playing a goalie who is 5-0-3.

In a short season with a compressed schedule, it makes sense to keep both goalies this season. If Luongo happens to do well in the playoffs, everything changes.

I'm not a Canucks fan, but I think they should be looking to trade Schneider. They are in win-now mode so Lu's age isn't a big problem, and the return for Schneider would be far better.

I guess it depends on whether the team has lost faith in Lu's ability to win big games. If it were me, I'd move Schneider.

Been saying it for a few years. The Nucks will win a Cup when they have enough depth that Kesler is on the 3rd line. Schneider would bring that, in my opinion. Although, in a perfect world, Lu should bring more than what he will.
