I think a lot of it has to do with my draft position in this league I participate in with my close friends.

I'm always near the end of the draft order, and usually if I'm not going to be in the top 6 or 7 give or take I go with an elite goalie as my first pick.
Then I take my second goalie too high.
And my third goalie.

I'm gonna try laying off the goalies early next year. Hopefully I get a top 5 pick and it prevents me from grabbing one with my first rounder.

Just play with zero goalies. You might fare better.

So what you're saying is you suck at picking goalies and at drafting?

I was "lucky" to draft 3rd this year. Took Crosby, but seriously considered Rinne or Lundqvist. By the time I got to my second pick, Lundqvist, Quick, Rinne, Smith, Price, Halak, Howard, Rask, and Ward were taken.

I took Miller in the 5th, Kipper in the 6th, Lindback in the 11th. Ugh.

At least you know the source of your struggles - you have bad goalies. Bondon has good goalies and still mismanages them to the point he might as well have the DiPietro-Thomas minor league tandem of despair.

Lol see, what is this. I start Varlamov against the Sharks fully expecting him to get pounded, and he puts forth a 39/41 game. The first time I checked the boxscore he was at 1/2, the second time he was at 15/17 and I was fully expecting to regret my decision.

Then I see the SO coming and I turn on the game and he loses. !@#$.

Also I hate when announcers show stats like how Varlamov was 8-0 last year in the shootout. I knew right away that I was ****ed .

It's like Varlamov was like hmm..I gave bondon sick goalie stats last time. Time to lay down an egg!

I just wish he'd string two good starts together.

Here's another laugher for you guys.

Hands up if you've lost your SV% category by .001 twice this year.

*Raises hand*

LOL...at this point I just have to laugh about it. At least Varly is starting to come around just like I hoped he would for the second half.
