Ward is killing my stats. I have Rask, Ward and Varlamov. Anyone from the waivers that would be better than what I have?

Dubnyk
Lindback

I like Backstrom and Dubnyk but not sure if they would be upgrades over what I have...

Backstrom always puts up solid numbers but he is getting old (this is a one year league so it may not matter). Dubnyk and Edmonton seems to have come back down to earth a little.

the age isnt an issue in a 1 year like you said

backstrom is the move here imo

Backstrom for Ward or Varly? I think Ward is the better goalie on a better team but Varly has 2 shutouts already this season..

ward is not a great goaltender

the value of ward is that he plays a ton of games and he fills up wins and saves as a result

so ideally you only have him in a league that counts W, GAA, SV, SV%

your other goalies balance his terrible averages and he runs up the cumulative stats for you

big problem though him playing a ton of games works for you in an 82 game season as less than a handful of players even approach his number of starts

in this shortened season i think you will see more players starting similar numbers of games thus his Ws and SVs arent going to be as far ahead as they would under normal circumstances

Haha yeah. Varly kills me occassionally too but I think his stats will get better when Downie and Landy get back.

no question varly is throwing the occasional stinker but he is doing better than ward
