Just wondering what we can expect from Buffalo's D-corps with the coaching change and beyond. Hopefully we can expect a little more offense?
2 in particular I am thinking about - Ehrhoff and McNabb. Am currently in trade talks with a GM who has Ehrhoff, and he's asking for McNabb and a pick (mid level). I lost Karlsson in this league and really need some help on D. Ehrhoff's average TOI is over 24 mins, and he's currently on pace for 50 pts (pro rated season) - can we expect this pace to continue? Or would holding on to McNabb make more sense? He really impressed me last year but has obviously fallen off the map this year. (Hope Bomm chimes in here!)

Erhoff will still be the main guy, the experience and contract demands it. He should be a 40 pt prorated guy since I just don't see the high end offence in BUF. I'd take Erhoff for Mcnabb + pick.

Error is a decent fill in for Karlsson lots of SOG and able to get a few pims aswell(of course when you look at Karlsson every other D-man looks poor from a points only perspective right?). I think he will be able to get at least 40-45/season.
I would do this.

I dont know much about Ron Rolston and his style of coaching. Anyone out there seen many Rochester games to know what kind of style he preaches?
Until that gets settled, it will be tough to know what to expect from any of the Sabres players. All that being said, I wouldnt have an issue dealing McNasty and a mid level pick for Ehrhoff and I am a big McNasty fan.

Quote:
Additionally, it's tough to judge Rolston on his system employed w/the Amerks, because he tweaked it to better suit Ruff's. Thereby making call-up players better equipped to handle Ruff's demands. Especially, given this lockout season where players such as Foligno, Hodgson et al would be immediately called-up. That said, in the short term look for much of the same, until Rolston can settle in, evaluate what he has and begin to incorporate his brand (which I hear is a tough, physical style). I will have more on this later in my Sabres forum. But for now hang on to McNabb, now more so than ever,

At this point, if you are in a dynasty league - especially one w/a farm - I would hold all prospects, including Brennan. Mixed reports on him though. Some suggest he's a PPQB and no more, while others claim he can play a proper d-role. The jury is out, but safe to say his long term value as a prospect lies strongest w/in points-only leagues or possible deep multi-cat leagues that include PPG and SOG.

Interesting to note that since Brennan left Rochester in January, McNabb has 2-12-14 in 17 GP. Too crowded in Buffalo currently but someone to keep in mind if trades occur.
