A major gaming console is about to be announced, and you post a link to the Wall Street Journal's [boring] article? Get that ish out of here!

I'm pretty excited for the reveal. I will probably go with Microsoft's next Xbox this fall, but we'll see. If Sony delivers the goods with their console and games, and MS' next offering is lacking I'll be buying a PS4.

I'm definitely ready for something new, though, and I LOVE looking forward to a new console. Can't wait!

i am actually not looking forward to the next generation at all

i think that the graphical upgrades are going to be less than expected

i think this is more about destroying the second hand game industry and always online consoles that watch our every move and risk all of our information to hackers

it is also about losing backwards compatibility so that they can sell us games we already own over and over again

I'm leaning more and more towards going back to mainly PC gaming for the next console generation. I'm just seeing more and more value in that with all the indie titles and Steam sales and whatnot, plus the graphics and variety of gameplay blows consoles out of the water.

The main reason why I've played consoles so much the last generation has been social gaming and with most of my friends getting kids and staying home with their families more and more, that motivation isn't really there as much anymore. So why not just go for a nuts gaming PC, right?

I'm hoping for a Vita annoucment in there somewhere. A price cut like in Japan maybe? Linking it to the PS4? More games? I want to buy one so bad, but the future for the Vita looks dim unless some good news starts rolling in. Meanwhile 3DS just got Fire Emblem which looks awesome.

I love PC gaming for the sales that console gaming just doesn't get as often. I generally don't have to risk 60 bucks on an iffy game, just wait a few months and the price is bound to drop. I'll support games I really want, but at least some patience can pay off for PC gamers.
One thing I do miss though is JRPGs and those other unique games that console gamers get.
