i am considering dropping Vokoun to pick up a goalie who will get more starts. i currently lead the league in Wins and Shut Outs but my GAA and SV% are abysmal due to Howard. Fasth is helping me dig out of this hole but with Halak DTD and Vokoun getting barely any starts, it is impossible for Fasth alone to compensate.

my goalies are currently Howard, Fasth, Vokoun and Halak.

currently available goalies include Emery, Scrivens, Mrazek, Allen, Elliott, Bernier, Bachman.

Emery and Scrivens stand out on this list, but Mrazek and Allen are made more useful by the fact i have Howard and Halak.

The only one I'd consider is Emery. If Crawford's "upper body" injury turns out to be a concussion that sidelines him long term, then Emery's value will shoot through the roof. The word out of Chi-town is that Crawford is getting better, so I'd probably hold off until Chicago's next game. If Emery is starting again, I'd grab him before it's too late.

Otherewise, stick with what you have. Once Halak is healthy again, you'll have two top 10 goalies on winning teams and two of the top backups in the league. You won't be upgrading with any of the other WW options.

i would rather have 3 solid starters than 2 solid starters and 2 back ups.

Howard is not currently a solid starter. he gets enough wins but is destroying my GAA and SV% in the process. he's dragging my team down, overall, the more i play him.

so i need to play him less.

if i have Scrivens or Emery, i can pick the goalie going up against the worst team.

Halak is no guarantee to be back to his old self when he comes back and if he re-injures or sucks, i'm dead.

i need a goalie who can pick up the slack if that happens and right now Vokoun isn't getting enough shots or minutes to change my position in any way.

Emery for sure. Remember when Reimer got knocked out by Gionta, he wasn't the same when he came back. Concussions are rugged like that. Crawford might not be as good once he returns, opening the door for Emery.
