Default Tonight: Fasth vs CHI or Lindback vs MON

Have to start two tonight.
I'm starting Lundqvist for sure and Schneider isn't playing so:

Fasth vs Chicago or Lindback vs Montreal?

Fasth's numbers are a lot more interesting but they play Chicago...
Lindback's are less than stellar but they play slumping Montreal....

Who would you start??

I'd start Lindback just because CHI burned Rinne the other night...and Fasth is no Rinne.

I would go with Fasth. TB is horrible, and Chicago is due for a letdown (maybe?). Remember, Fasth played stellar against a pretty stout and hot (at the time) San Jose team earlier this year...

I'm with redprince. Lindback. I'll state my own reasoning though.

Neither of these goalies have truely proven themselves. Fasth as had a few good games, he looks comfortable in his net, he's prepared to be Hiller's replacement (while he's injured, I'm not talking about becoming Anaheim's No. 1)
So, personally, Fasth is still a HUGE toss up, despite the few nice games he's played so far. I've been watching Fasth play for a while, actually. I've been anticipating his NHL opportunity. How he's playing right now is not unusual, he is a stellar goalie. But, will he continue to be that goalie in the NHL is the big question.

Now, Lindback.

He hasn't exactly proven himself yet either. At least as a starter. Tampa has dumped a huge workload on Lindback, and in my opinion, he's not doing any better or any worse than I expected him to be doing. He's got the potential to be Tampa's number 1 for a long time. His big 6'6" frame, his incredible mobility. He's a stud without a doubt. But, as of this season, he hasn't proven himself anymore than Fasth has.

Basically, it's just a matter of the schedule. Like redprince said, CHI smoked Rinne. Fasth is no Rinne. On any standard. Lindback is up against a Montreal team that has no true offensive spark, at least in my opinion.

My vote, out of all of this: Anders Lindback.

I'd start Lindback. No goalie is worth risking against Chicago right now.

Another vote for Lindback

I am in a weekly league and with Kipper out my choices were Dubnyk or Fasth for my 2nd goalie this week. I went with Dubnyk. The thought of an unproven goalie playing on the road against Chicago scared me a little too much.
Even though Edmonton only has 2 games this week I went with Dubnyk

Forest, just to be clear, I think Lindback is the more "logical" choice here. I still stand by my comments, though. It's more of a gut feeling than anything else. I get the impression that Fasth gets up for the big games. Plus, Tampa Bay really is horrible. I've seen them in person three times this year. Awful.

FWIW, I will be starting Fasth tonight.

I'd be more comfortable with Lindback due to opposition. There's a lot more reason to worry playing the Blackhawks than the Habs.

Well, I hope you ignored everyone else on this thread, and took my advice.
