just read it was postponed to a later start time today, so still game on

http://ca.sports.yahoo.com/news/ligh...9524--nhl.html

A major blizzard will make the Boston Bruins wait a few extra hours to play Saturday, but it isn't expected to prevent them from facing the Tampa Bay Lightning.
How many fans are there to watch remains to be seen.
The Bruins look to continue their impressive start and extend their home dominance of Tampa Bay on Saturday night in a game that was originally scheduled as a matinée.
With a massive storm dumping a potentially historic amount of snow on the Boston area - prompting the closing of the city's public transportation system and Massachusetts Gov. Deval Patrick ordering cars off the roads Friday night - this contest was moved from 1 p.m. to 7 p.m.

It was just pushed back at first, but was then straight up cancelled and will be rescheduled for a later date.

This is the latest from the NHL website, from 2 hours ago:

Quote:
TORONTO – Today's game between the Tampa Bay Lightning and Boston Bruins at the TD Garden, NHL Game No. 154, has been postponed due to the continuing, weather-related State of Emergency that remains in effect in Boston.

A make-up date will be announced as soon as it can be confirmed.

Although both Clubs and the assigned on-ice officials are in Boston, travel conditions remain too hazardous for fans, security personnel and TD Garden staff to get to the arena.
Postponed, yes. Playing later today, highly unlikely. Rumor has it there are very few dates between now and the end of the season to get a game at the Gardens in Boston as well. Ugly.

Wow, that really messed a lot of fantasy owners up today lol.

My opponent could have had Read in his lineup instead of St.Louis (Obviously without the knowledge you'd rather have St.Louis but he could have used Read's goal as opposed to Marty's nothing)

It doesn't look too bad. The NHL ends its season on April 27th. Both the Bruins and Lightning play that day. However, the Bruins final game before that is the 23rd. The Lightning play on the 24th.

So the solution could be to simply move the game to April 26th. Both teams are free that night. Neither have a game the night before. And TD Bank has nothing booked for after April 21st (probably due to playoffs) for the rest of that week. Both play Saturday, but those are evening games, so there would be lots of time to get to their games after the made-up game.
