traded boyle away, now I need to choose my replacement... torn between goligoski and hedman, but dion or Carlson wouldn't be bad choices either... I can't decide and was hoping to trade someone away to upgrade my depth forwards, for a run this season. I think hedman might be the best trade prospect.

With pims as a cat you could definitly make Phaneuf a keeper, I also like Hedman/Carlsson a lot.

Also with those cats Im not sure Suter is a keeper over those three.

That does seem like your best option. None of these guys are elite and there is honestly not much to choose between them. Enstrom is your best, but after that it's pretty close.

I wouldn't argue too strongly against that for sure.

So, you either trade him valued as such, and if the other guy agrees, you get the forward you want, or, you hang on to Hedman and shop your other D. Personally, I do not try and move my keepers unless I absolutely have to. Package up the others and see what happens.

Out of curiosity, is there anything in particular that leads you to believe that to be the case? And more importantly (from my selfish perspective) does that view change at all in a league that doesn't count PIMs?
