Thanks for taking questions. In the league in my sig I've got a few prospects I really like, but who are not helping me this year as they're in the AHL or barely playing: Sgarbossa, Oleksiak, Vatanen. I'm thinking I'm not going to get anything out of these guys this season (let me know if you disagree on any of them) in which case I may move one for a temporary plug for this year - how do you rate them in terms of guys you'd most / least want to own in a full keeper.

Sustr - size (6'8") and production is looking good for a defenseman

Dekeyser - decent numbers for a college defenseman but nothing that would get me too excited in fantasy world.

Zengerle - small in size and average numbers. Not really noteworthy for fantasy

Sorry I can't help too much here.
Do you know of any really fantasy relevant undrafted (or late round pick) players coming through the college ranks?

Do any of these guys have a shot at being fantasy relevant? (14 teams, 21 players, G, A, +/-, PIM, PPG, PPA, SHP, SOG, FW, GWG, and hits, can keep on farm until they have played ~90 games, salary cap league).

Glennie,
Deslauriers,
Grachev,
Matthew Finn,
Mursak,
Spencer Abbott,
Brian Flynn,
Harri Sateri,
Alex Stalock
Freddie Hamilton.

You don't have to give me a writeup, as that is a decently long list.. Just a simple yes or no (maybe say more for the maybe's haha).

What are your current thoughts on Brett Connolly. He was drafted 6th overall by Tampa back in 2010, but hasn't found his place in the Tampa top6 yet despite having plenty of chances there. Currently producing well in the AHL though.

Do think he'll live up to the huge expectations or should owners start to get worried?

All three should be undoubtedly keepers in points only leagues. I really like Morrow in Pittsburgh as you can already see management favouring him to be a starter soon.

I am not sure we can dub him a "sleeper" since he's starting to climb the ranks pretty fast....aka, he is already considered a first rounder by some people.

I REALLY like his game. Extremely strong on the puck. His protection game is impressive and he rarely loses a puck battle. His paths to the net are very encouraging as he shows a willingness to get dirty to score goals. Plus, he handles the puck well.

There is always some risk but I am fairly confident he will be a second line winger at worst. The problem with TT in fantasy circles is the lofty expectations some have set on him. There is a good chance that CHI takes their time bringing him into the lineup and that may frustrate owners. There's competition in CHI and they won't rush him so just be forewarned that it may take longer than expected.

League in sig, a GM has been going bananas over Gally since the draft and pretty much told me to name my price. I said his 1st in 2013 and Ryan Murray would at least be a start. His first could go as high as 1st overall, but is guaranteed no lower than 4th so that gets me into the McKinnon-Drouin-Jones-Barkov tier. I could probably get him to throw in Ryan Sproul or another good prospect as well he's got a legit mancrush on Gally.

But it's hard to move Galchenyuk....I really like him and feel he's going to be a star in the future. Of course those four 2013 players I mentioned above should be stars too, but Gally is at least a little more "known" at this point and he's transitioned very well to the NHL. Please DY, any input?
I would trade Galchenyuk for Drouin, Barkov or MacKinnon but not straight up right now. Galchenyuk's value should be high right now so if you are going to trade him then make sure they overpay. As it stands right now, I wouldn't deal Gally for Jones.

I see Galchenyuk as one of the safer prospects (with a good upside) to come around in quite some time. He plays like a seasoned vet.

To be honest, unless you are gauranteed one of Drouin, MacKinnon, Barkov (none are gauranteed to be better than Galchenyuk longterm) PLUS another top player (or top 6 forward), then I wouldn't move him.

In the end, Galchenyuk's a Canadien and I am sure you have lots of those fanboys in your boy to take advantage of.

Markus Granlund
*Mikael Granlund
*Jonathan Huberdeau

Jordan Schroeder
Michael St. Croix
*Kirill Kabanov
Magnus Paajarvi
Teemu Pulkkinen
Martin Frk
Nikita Kucherov
Nathan Beaulieu
Jonathan Blum
*Cody Ceci
Adam Clendening
*Mathew Dumba
Hampus Lindholm
*Ryan Sproul
*Jonathan Bernier
Sami Aittokallio
Magnus Hellberg
Mikko Koskinen
Calvin Pickard
I bolded my picks. Just going on my hunches as some of these players are very close in talents. It just comes down to opportunity really. Beaulieu was a hard cut, as was Clendening but I am sure you can redraft those guys. I like Ryan Sproul too much to cut him.

The number you keep depends on what? How many you draft? That information matters but the guys I am less excited about (based on upside):
- Grenier (already mature, upside??)
- Sheahan (DRW prospect = wait is looooong)
- Petersson
- Jason Akeson (I'm not sure his game will translate consistently enough to be a fantasy contributor at the NHL)
- Do you need two WSH G's? If you need to drop a G, then maybe drop Grubauer (although he looks solid)
- Upsides of Larsson and Prokhorkin aren't really "star" quality so if you need to drop one of them then that might factor in (I like Larsson to be a productive NHLer though)

Hope that helps. You've got some nice pieces
