Thanks guys, I have been debating prior to this post about whether to hang onto Rizzo or not. I declined a couple of trade offers for him last year. Concerned about Dickey in the AL East as well but hard to ignore the stats. Leaning towards keeping Latos and Medlen and then will decide last minute on Dickey or Rizzo.

Bartolo Colon won a CY too. Dickey no longer is pitching in Citi Field. He no longer faces pitchers, or Marlins/Phillies. He now pitches in a HR dome, facing NY, Boston, Baltimore. Maybe he does ok, but i see some risk there.

If you or he must keep Dickey, drop Latos. Rizzo is a 25 90 guy at worst, and likely is a regular 30/100 guy not yet in his prime.

I guess we will have to see what happens.
I can find Latos type SP year to year. Young 30hr guys are much rarer.
I had a long winded response typed out, but screw it. Drop the Cy Young award winner for a guy that hasn't hit more than 15HR's in the majors. I'd do that. He might hit more than 15 in the future.

If you're allowed to do trades, I'd probably try and move Dickey instead of dropping him. Dickey and Rizzo even. That'd fetch ya something amazing.

Here are some projections.

http://www.fangraphs.com/statss.aspx...73&position=1B

Bill James has Rizzo 33/109, which i think is a little high.
Most people have Rizzo around 30/100. I have him about 25/90, but wouldn't be surprised if he goes over it.
Scouts say after Stanton, nobody has more power then Rizzo.
Yea, he only hit 15 hrs, in only 87 games.
You bring up a award (CY), as a reason.
Dickey was great last year, yes. But his circumstances have changed.
In 10 years, he's been bad, 7 of them. A career 3.98 era.
James has him 16 wins, 3.58 era.
I got him 14 wins, 3.70 era.
Enjoy the debate though.
