Default Souray vs Faulk

Who do you like more? (League 1 in sig)

I like Faulk because he's clearly the top guy in Carolina and gets SH time.

Souray on the other hand contributes in almost every category I need and I have little doubt that he has the Anaheim PP on lock down with Fowler's injury and unimpressive play before that but I worry about his health.

I get to pick one of these guys as a throw-in on a trade for Campbell.

Bonus: Which center?
Roy, Fisher, Desharnais

I'd go with Souray...hits more categories and is probably better on a one year basis.

I'd go with Roy...Roy pisses me off (I own him in two leagues this year) and I hate how he always shows little flashes of success here and there and then fizzles, but he's still better to me over Fisher and Desharnais.

Easily Souray over Faulk for me. Souray seems to have revitalized himself in Anaheim. Their was never a doubt that he had a big shot but the rest of his game has come together meaning he's getting much more icetime (more chanes for HITs and PIMs). I'd expect them to be close with Souray getting slightly more points. The big edge is that Souray picks up PIMs and HITs in large numbers. I wouldn't base the decision on SH time, for one SH points are few and far between and more importantly SH points are rarely scored by defencemen who usually don't cross the redline during a penalty kill.

Desharnais
Roy
Fisher

These are all pretty close. Desharnais started really slow but has the most upside and has started to pick it up along with the entire Habs team.

Souray hands down, barring injury.
I like Roy at center out of those three.
I like Desharnais, but without Pacioretty for the next bit I'm not confident in him over Roy. Once Pac comes back, Desharnais could wind up a better choice, though.

Haha, something told me I should take a quick check before posting that. When I saw you'd replied, I had a sinking feeling I made a silly mistake... Two games, no less! Ugh.

Well, if you can wait a few games to see if Desharnais picks it up I'd do that. I don't think you can go wrong with Roy or Desharnais, honestly.

I'd take Souray in a heartbeat (especially as he's a 'throw in). Count a vote for Derek Roy from me too. He's looked good since being back.

Uh, is everyone forgetting Souray's history? Injury-prone, extremely inconsistent performer. In the last 5 years, he's only put up more than 21 points once. He's had a hot start this year, I'd bet he doesn't sustain it. I'm talking Faulk here, who is somewhat underrated right now.

Souray over Faulk in a one year league.

1. Roy
2. Desharnais
3. Fisher
