Ian White is a solid #3-#4 D not more. Im not suprise he is not on top 100.

Edit: actually, he plays on the third D line at Detroit, I think it's speak for itself.

I'm not a White believer myself. He has only put up two seasons over 30 points, with the first I'd attribute to an anomaly and the second to playing with the best defence man in recent history. I think that playing with Lidstrom was just a way to balance the defence, and while Kronwall is no slouch he won't be able to cover for White like ol' Nic could.

He should be fine for spot fills, but he should be considered a depth D at best. It's not a bad acquisition though considering you traded Okposo for him.
