What does the Dobber community think of this guy? In a points only pool, what is his upside? Is he a 50, 60, 70, 80???? pt guy? My gut tells me he can be a 70 pt guy if he stays paired with Datsyuk and Z. What do you think this year, and for the next three? Thanks!!

I think if that guy keeps playing top 6 in detroit and keeps his spot on the PP he will be a 65 point player (pro-rated of course). He might get to 70 in a year or two. Babcock seems to like him and it seems they are giving plenty of opportunity to succeed.

I think it's extremely hard to peg him on like 7 games.

I have been impressed with his play though. I'd say that if he sticks with Zetterberg now and in the future, I could see him scoring at a 60 point pace. I think expecting more would be quite generous.

Still way too early to tell though IMO

Brunner is the real deal. I've watched almost every Red Wings game, and he is no "flash in the pan". He can skate, he's got great vision (thus, the reason he's on the point on the PP), and he's got a good hard shot, although a little inaccurate. He should definitely settle in as a 60-70 point guy, but he has upside beyond that.

In a full season, he easily has 70+pt upside on the top line in Detroit. I think 80-85 as a ceiling seems about right there. His vision, passing and hockey IQ seems quite good. He also has a good shot and chemistry with Zetts.
