Brand new fan to hockey, I'm doing my best to compete in a pool with people who have been following the game alot longer than me and just got this trade offer. From what I can tell by looking at the stats this is a laughable deal - I just want reassurance that I'm right from someone who knows the game better than me...or perhaps someone to explain why I should take this deal

Yeah don't do this trade. Next time let people know if it is a points-only league, or different categories. Or a 1 year or a keeper league. But in any scenario this isn't a good trade for you! ha.

You shouldnt take this deal. First off trading 1 for 2 is most often a big no no. Second Winnik has a career high of what 11 goals, Malone gets hurt alot and has in no way a safe top six spot in Tampa. Brad Richards has great linemates and I wouldnt be suprised if he outscores Malone and Winnik together.

Haha, it's easy to tell that you're new to this for you to even post this! No worries, yeah this is definitely not a good deal for you. Classic case of someone trying to sell high on a grinder like Winnik who is off to a hot start for a proven consistent producer in Richards.

As Marwin mentions above, typically the two for one deal doesn't benefit the team receiving the 'two', because that means they must drop someone in order to accommodate the trade.

In future posts, it would help if you could post your entire team and your scoring settings as well as your league details (h2h vs. roto, how many at each position you play a night, weekly vs. daily rosters, etc.) as HockeyProphet mentions above.
