Mulling over a trade for Couturier that involves me losing some blocks (Carlson out) and Diaz would be the weakest link in my remaining D corps.

If I do the deal should I hold Rafa or drop him for a block monster like Gorges. Is he still worth owning with PK coming back?

Unless you can trade Diaz, I would hang onto him until he cools off.

Diaz sits 5th on MTL in TOI/gm by defensemen, but 2nd overall in PP TOI. Last season Subban led MTL in TOI and was tied for 2nd on the team in PP goals scored with 5. I can hardly imagine a scenario where Subban doesn't usurp Diaz on that 1st unit after the first few weeks. That will bump Diaz to 6th among MTL D in TOI.

He's sitting unclaimed on our waiver-wire and I can't think of a reason to pick him up myself.
