Since I am not going to win the league this year and I have been building a youth movement, I am offering Marleau for a trade.

I have a couple offers and was just wondering what you guys think I could get for him. My team is in my signature and as you guys can tell I am in desperate need of a D man.

Trade 1: My Marleau for his Brodin and Booth. He won't move his Myers, Shattenkirk or Hamilton (I tried). He does have Lundqvist, Schneider and Luongo. I may be able to get Lou.

Trade 2: My Marleau for his Jack Johnson

Thoughts on either trade. I think trade 2 isn't good enough. Is Trade 1 worth it?

All those offers are horrible. You're better off keeping Marleau than giving him away like that. Your league rewards shooters and offensive forwards not defence. I'd be looking at upgrading your forwards instead. This looks like its in the middle of a rebuild so you still got a ways to go. Try to get a good goaltender for Marleau maybe.

I think those offers are absolutely laughable.

the worst offers i've seen. app. he's just joking around with you.

Even if Marleau hadnt started this season off the way he has, and was just off to a normal start, he is worth more then those offers. Dont trade him just to trade him. He easily has more value then that. Be patient with the trade offers and see what else comes. Ask for what you think he's worth in a counter offer and if they dont accept, simply walk away. There is nothing that says that once you engage in trade talks that you have to make a trade.

With those offers, if thats all they are willing to give you for a consistent 30+ goal scorer and point producer, walk away and simply say thank you for your time.
