Dobber has him as the 19th ranked Dmen on his top 215 prospects list.

In my opinion his skill set lends itself to offensive/PP minutes. He has a bomb of a shot, he can skate and he can move the puck well. Where he needs to improve is in his reads during the game but that will hopefully come with playing time.

Yes agreed but a lot of the prospect dmen on his prospect dman list are also on the top 100 dmen list, some because they've already had an NHL impact (e.g. Dillon, #87 on top 100 dman list, #20 on dman prospect list) but others who haven't (e.g. Vatanen #92 on top 100 dman list, #15 on dman prospect list). Orlov has been on the top 100 dman list in the past, but he's slipped off, presumably b/c of his injury. Splitting hairs b/c he's still a great dman prospect.

Barring another injury by this time next year Carlson will be Orlov's baby mamma, if you catch my drift. Think along the lines of J.J in L.A with Voynov coming. Orlov reminds me a lot of Markov except with biggger hits
