I wonder if this affects the possible trade of Luongo?

Eddie Lack will be sidelined for six months after undergoing hip surgery.
Before getting hurt, Lack had been expected to back up Cory Schneider once Roberto Luongo was finally traded. His surgery not only throws a wrench into those immediate plans, but also complicates who will back up Schneider at the start of next season. While we don't expect something like this to keep Vancouver from dealing Luongo, it certainly doesn't help and it's possible the Canucks will now seek a backup goalie in any potential trade.
