This is for the team in my signature. Yakupov comes at a $12 salary. We can keep 4 guys so if Yakupov continues to gather points he could warrant being kept (salaries increase $2 every year for keepers).
Who do you like more for this year? I currently have Schneider ($7), Benn ($5) and Tarasenko ($1) locked as 3 of my keepers. It's hard not to like Koivu ($2) or J. Staal ($3) at those prices... So even if Yakupov isn't kept, is he a better option than E. Kane for this year? PS - the other GM also said he would accept Kessel instead of E. Kane. So the real question is who do we like between Kessel, E. Kane or Yakupov?

I think I'd do that in a second. I've seen each of the Oilers games this year and though he's had his ups and downs....Yakupov is the real deal. The kid is going to produce. I saw Kane play a fair amount here in Vancouver, and though he'll bring more to the table with a few of your minor peripherals like the hits, I'd gamble that Yakupov outpoints him by a fair margin this season....at a cheaper price to boot.
Good luck!

Thanks for the feedback...I have to admit that I have a man crush on Yakupov so I'm leaning towards doing this. But should I ship him E. Kane or Kessel? Last year Kessel had 240pts while E. Kane had 228pts. Both had career years.

I'd still ship him Kane. I think the leafs will actually score some goals this year again, and you know Kessel's going to play tons. I'm just not as high on Kane's offense as some people, so even if they both come down a little......I think Kane has farther to fall.
Good luck!
