My defense is looking rough this season and I think I can grab Subban for fairly cheap right now. My team is easily good enough to make the playoffs so having him take up a roster spot right now wouldn't exactly kill me. He also has OEL which I should have grabbed off of waivers from the start.

I'm thinking something like:

J. Johnson + Markov for OEL + Subban?

Or, because he is weak in pts and there is some value on the waiver wire:

J. Johnson/Markov + Wheeler for OEL + Subban and when Subban signs dump my worst dman and pickup Purcell/Doan/Voracek/Erat/Conacher from waivers.

i dont think that subban is as cheap as you might think he is

nothing wrong with trying you might get lucky but i would have less than 0% interest in what you are offering if i had subban and oel

I have to agree. Seems like a pretty lowball offer for Subban/OEL to me, and I would brush it aside without a thought.

Yeah, I agree fellas. The only reason I think there's a chance is because he just lost Hartnell and his team is terrible offensively. He will probably be jumping at the chance to add some scoring. I'll throw in a cheeky bid and see what comes back.

I guess I should throw the JJ + Wheeler trade as it's a bit more appealing than JJ + Markov.

If you know the guy and think he may bite at it then there's no harm I guess. Never know....he may see Wheeler as a replacement for Hartnell (at least temporarily)

Far worse, and wideman is almost waiver fodder in my opinion. Stick with Wheeler. I guess you could add wideman to the two of them if you think it would help, but I would prefer Markov.
